Bob Vylan unveil the brand new single, "Hunger Games"
Bob Vylan have released the first single of 2024, "Hunger Games", which is taken from their forthcoming album, Humble As The Sun.
Their forthcoming album, Humble As The Sun, follows on from the 2022 release, Bob Vylan Presents The Price of Life.
""Hunger Games" is like a rallying cry for everybody that’s sick of suffering due this economic crisis that we’re living with. “Cost of living crisis” makes it sound sound neat and tidy but it’s a direct result of years of austerity, politicians that prioritise their selfish desires before the good of the country and a capitalist system that is allowing landlords, and big companies to operate unchecked," explains Bobby Vylan on the new single.
"It talks about the economic hardships many of us are facing but it doesn’t just leave it there," he continues. "It offers hope and inspiration. It attempts to remind people of the power and worth that we posses despite our financial earnings."
The band will also be performing live across the UK at a selection of Rough Trade shops and venues, all now sold out, but just announced today is another show at Banquet in Kingston (at The Fighting Cocks) on the album's release day (5 April).
Humble as the Sun is set for release on 5 April, and is available to pre-order now.
