Blonde Redhead present new single "Before" and reschedule London show
Alongside the new single, Blonde Redhead reschedule their postponed London show at The Lower Third.
With its stacked vocals by singer and multi-instrumentalist Kazu Makino, “Before” was written with the notion of reincarnation in mind, narrated from the perspective of a kid who seems to know it all. “Some children seem quite knowing as if they remember their past lives... or at least that's the impression I get. The song is a sort of celebration of that kind of quality in a young person," explains Kazu.
“Before” is the latest in a string of singles, including “Melody Experiment” and “Snowman".
The band were forced to postpone their tiny return show in London last month due to illness, but the show is now re-arranged for 22 September at The Lower Third, just ahead of the album's release. All tickets for the original date remain valid.
"Before" is out now. Blonde Redhead's forthcoming album, Sit Down For Dinner, is available to pre-order now. For information on their upcoming tour dates, and their dinner bundles, visit blonde-redhead.com.
