BLACKPINK's Jisoo to make solo debut this year
YG Entertainment have confirmed that Jisoo of BLACKPINK will make her solo debut this year.
On New Year's Eve, Jisoo of BLACKPINK responded to a fan asking if her solo album will be arriving in 2023. She wrote, "Please wait for Jisoo’s solo album in 2023."

Since then, YG Entertainment have confirmed that she's working on her first solo album. Soompi reports that the agency said in a statement, "BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album. While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise with fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news."
Jisoo will be the final BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut. Lisa made her solo debut in September 2021 with Lalisa, while Rosé released -R- in March 2021. Jennie's first solo single, "SOLO" landed in 2018.
BLACKPINK's second album Born Pink arrived in September 2022. They'll headline a BST Hyde Park 2023 show on 2 July.
