BLACKPINK's Jennie has shared a new solo single, “You & Me"
The brand new solo single is Jennie's first in five years, which comes on the heels of her appearance as Dyanne in HBO's The Idol, which was created by Abel 'The Weeknd' Tesfaye and Euphoria's Sam Levinson.
Jennie was the first member of BLACKPINK to release music outside of the group back in 2018. "SOLO" is the only single she has released until now.
"You & Me" was given its live debut last October when BLACKPINK performed it on the first night of their Born Pink tour in Seoul. A remix of the track was debuted at Coachella, and is also released today on DSPs as a B-side.
“We hope the song becomes a special gift through which fans remember their memories from ‘Born Pink’ tour,'” YG Entertainment wrote in a statement.
The cover artwork for "You & Me" depicts a stylised illustration of Jennie, and is a collaboration with Sailor Moon artist Takeuchi Naoko.
Jannie recently appeared on the song “One of the Girls” with Lily-Rose Depp and The Weeknd The Idol, in which she also made her acting debut. Meanwhile, in August, BLACKPINK shared their latest single, “The Girls".
"You and Me" is out now.
