BLACKPINK are the first K-pop girl group to join Spotify's Billions Club
BLACKPINK have joined Spotify’s Billions Club with their single, "How You Like That", which was released back in 2020.
Earlier this week, the song passed over one billion streams, allowing BLACKPINK to make history as the first ever K-pop girl group to achieve this milestone.
Jennie, of the group, had the music video for her single "Solo" surpass one billion views on YouTube. She is the second solo K-pop artist to achieve this, following Psy's iconic 2012 hit, "Gangnam Style". She also launched her own record label, Odd Atelier. In addition to starting her own company, and releasing solo music, Jennie made her acting debut in the HBO drama series The Idol and was named an honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire along with her BLACKPINK bandmates.
