Billy Joel brings out Olivia Rodrigo for "Deja Vu" and "Uptown Girl" At Madison Square Garden
Billy Joel brought out Olivia Rodrigo at his Madison Square Garden show last night (24 August) to perform "Uptown Girl" as well as her "deja vu" song that mentions him in the lyrics.
In the second half of Billy Joel's Madison Square Garden show yesterday, he brought out special guest Olivia Rodrigo, and performed her huge "deja vu" song, which features lyrics including "I'll bet that she knows Billy Joel / 'Cause you played her "Uptown Girl"" and "Play her piano, but she doesn't know / That I was the one who taught you Billy Joel."
Before performing "deja vu", Rodrigo said, "I'm such a huge fan, and I kind of wrote this next song about you."
As well as playing Rodrigo's "deja vu", Joel got Rodrigo to join him for "Uptown Girl".
Earlier this month it was revealed that Alanis Morissette will be inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame by Olivia Rodrigo.
