Big Thief inviting teachers and students to US tour soundchecks to add "educational component" to shows
Big Thief have announced an open invitation to teachers and their students to attend soundchecks on their upcoming US tour to "bring an educational component to the touring process."
At the end of January Big Thief will set off on their US tour, and last night (5 January) on socials, the band announced that they're inviting teachers and their students to show soundchecks to "bring an educational component to the touring process."
Big Thief continued: "Our hope is that students would be able to come see the soundcheck and ask questions and share in a discussion about creativity, music, playing shows, songwriting or whatever!
"Teachers – we would love to hear if you are interested in participating and how we can organise this so that it is of most benefit to your students. If you are interested in bringing your class to a soundcheck, and/or have any ideas that you think would help us get the ball rolling and make this experience as accessible and organised as possible, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at this email address: bigthiefsoundcheck at gmail."
Big Thief's latest album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You arrived in February 2022. Visit bigthief.net for tickets to their live shows.
