Beyoncé reveals her forthcoming album is called Cowboy Carter
Following the announcement of her forthcoming album, Beyoncé has unveiled its title as Cowboy Carter.
At the 2024 Super Bowl, Beyoncé announced Renaissance Act II, and shared two brand new singles, "16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em” which were heavily inspired by country music. She has now taken to her socials to share the album's title.
Following controversy over whether the new singles should be played on US country radio, "Texas Hold ‘Em" swiftly climbed up Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, and took the number one spot. NME reports that Beyoncé is the "second solo female act – with no accompanying featured artists – to debut at number one, with Taylor Swift achieving this in 2021 with her re-recorded versions of "Love Story" and "All Too Well".

In a recent interview with Knox News, Dolly Parton revealed that Beyoncé's country album may feature a cover of her 1973 hit, "Jolene".
Parton shared that she has always wanted Beyoncé to cover "Jolene", and thinks that dream may just be coming true. “Well, I think she has! I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about that," she said, revealing that they've been in contact in the past.
Beyoncé is set to release Renaissance Act II on 29 March.
