Beyoncé assists fan with gender reveal in Cologne on Renaissance Tour
At the most recent stop on Beyoncé's Renaissance Tour in Cologne, last night, she helped a fan reveal the gender of their baby.
Halfway through her performance, after thanking fans for holding up blue balloons for her daughter Blue Ivy, Beyoncé acknowledge the person in the crowd trying to get her attention and said, “I wanna do this right because since the beginning of the show, I’ve seen this sign that says ‘Do my gender reveal.’ I just want to do it right. Do I have to open the envelope?”
Paying homage to her hit single, "Run the World (Girls)", she announced that the couple were expecting a girl, and with a grin on her face, congratulated them, and then asked the crowd on the count of three to also say congratulations.
One fan on Twitter noted that it would've been the perfect time to play "Run the World", stating: "I would have DIED if @beyonce wouldve bussed out in song “WHO RUN THE WORLD?”".
