Beth Ditto, John Grant appear on season two of Jake Shears' Queer The Music podcast
Jake Shears has launched season two of his podcast, Queer The Music, which is set to feature the likes of Beth Ditto, John Grant, Big Freedia, and more.
The new season launches with Shears in discussion with Gossip’s Beth Ditto on groundbreaking punk-rock crossover, "Standing In The Way Of Control". Written in response to the Federal Marriage Amendment (designed to outlaw same-sex marriage in the US), it’s a powerful conversation as civil liberties are once again placed on the ballot in 2024.
"What a joy this season of QTM has been. So excited to share these interviews with some of my favorite artists of all time, including some very special episodes filmed in New Orleans. Big Freedia, Beth Ditto…John Grant? I mean, it doesn’t get any better!" Jake Shears says.
Season two of Queer The Music includes upcoming guests like John Grant, Big Freedia, Jessie Ware and more surprises to follow soon, including a live episode recorded with Nick Grimshaw at London’s The Phoenix Arts Club on 5 November.
The inaugural season featured the likes of Self Esteem, Olly Alexander, Peaches, King Princess and more.
Tickets for the live show are available now, with proceeds from the live recording going to akt: the only national charity dedicated to providing support for LGTBQ+ young people facing homelessness.
