Bell Ochestre announce reissue of second album with previously unheard song "Open Organ"
Erased Tapes is releasing a reissue of Bell Orchestre's 2009 second album As Seen Through Windows, and a previously unheard song titled "Open Organ" has been released to coincide with the news.
"Open Organ" is one of three previously unreleased bonus songs that will feature on the As Seen Through Windows reissue, and marks their first outing since "The Stars in His Head / Bernard 33 - Dark Lights (Colin Stetson Remix)" landed in November as part of the Erased Tapes 十五 compilation.
Bell Orchestre's Richard Reed Parry says of the song, ""Open Organ" started as an idea at my and Pietro’s loft The Bread Factory, where we used to do Bell Orchestre shows and parties. We recorded some of the song with Mark Lawson on tape at the old Arcade Fire church studio (Petite Église) in Quebec - speeding up and slowing down the tape machine to record all the drum rolls and wood blocks, experimenting with pitches bending upwards and downwards. And then the second half we recorded with John McEntire at Soma in Chicago. Colin Stetson and Andy King came along to add extra trumpet firepower."

"Open Organ" is out now. Bell Orchestre's As Seen Through Windows reissue will arrive via Erased Tapes on 28 April, and is available to pre-order now.
