Beatenberg share new single, “Eau De Toilette”
Beatenberg release the brand new single, "Eau de Toilette”, and announce their biggest headline show in the UK to date at London's KOKO.
"Eau de Toilette” is self produced and mixed by Nathan Boddy (Mura Masa, PinkPantheress, Gabriels), and follows previous single, "Don't Call Her Over To You".
Beatenberg’s lead singer Matthew Field explains: "Eau de Toilette, toilet water. What can I say? Sweating – I was a bit embarrassed about these lyrics, but maybe that’s a good sign. You can’t always be safely in your tower of song, sometimes you have to come down to earth to receive human warmth and humiliation. At least the song itself is warm and humble."
The record-breaking South African band have been exporting their global approach to pop music for over a decade but their 2022 EP, On the way to Beatenberg was their first release after a four-year hiatus. That year saw them play sold out stadiums across the UK supporting George Ezra, and their first sold out headline tour of Europe and the US, culminating in a performance at SXSW.
Now they're set to headline London's KOKO on 18 April 2024, and also Melkweg Max, Amsterdam two days before.
"Eau De Toilette" is out now. For more information on their forthcoming tour dates, visit beatenberg.ochre.
