Beak> rework Gazelle Twin track, "Fear Keeps Us Alive"
Beak> have shared their reworking of Gazelle Twin's "Fear Keeps Us Alive".
The original track was released almost exactly a year ago today, and features on Gazelle Twin's latest album, Black Dog. The reworked version comes after Beak> dropped their first album in six years, >>>>.
Billy Fuller from BEAK> explains: “We were honoured to be asked by Elizabeth to do a version of ‘Fear Keeps Us Alive’ for her Shadow Dogs album. We’ve attempted to do it as if BEAK> were playing it onstage live with her, and hope you like it!”
The track appears on Gazelle Twin's Shadow Dogs, which sees “ghost” or “shadow” versions of tracks from Gazelle Twin’s fourth studio album reinterpreted by a host of artists including Keeley Forsyth, Gary Numan, Mark Jenkin, Marta Salogni, Penelope Trappes, Sealionwoman.
Beak> are set to embark on a tour later this year, which kicks off in Cardiff on 30 October and includes dates in London, Brighton, Manchester, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Munich, Copenhagen, and Dublin, before finishing in their hometown of Bristol on 14 December.
Shadow Dogs is out on 18 October via Invada Records. Beak's latest album >>>> is out now via Invada and Temporary Residence Ltd. Tickets for the forthcoming tour are on sale now.
