BABii announces third album, DareDeviil2000
Avant-pop polymath BABii has returned with the new single “Scarface” and the announcement of her third album DareDeviil2000.
Following the album’s first single “J0YR1D3”, BABii shares “Scarface”, which was produced with close collaborators Pholo, Warpstr and Iglooghost. Incredibly personal and autobiographical in nature, the track was written about BABii’s late father’s experience of betraying his own father by leaving his promising career as an Ice Hockey player.
Speaking about the single, BABii explains: “Scarface was the last song we made in the studio and it was just me, Pholo, Warpstr and Iglooghost left. We had so much fun making it, everyone was bouncing around and dancing during the process. Even though we had lots of fun making the song, it’s actually about my dad’s experience of betraying his own dad by leaving his promising potential career as an ice hockey player and going off the rails.”
