Arooj Aftab, Bo Ningen and Mabe Fratti announced as guest curators for Le Guess Who? 2024
Le Guess Who? has revealed the guest curators and their full programs, as well as the first artists for the general festival program. The festival takes place from 7-10 November in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Each year, Le Guess Who? invites trailblazing creatives to curate their own dedicated programs, highlighting their inspirations, emerging acts and fellow like-minded artists, with an emphasis on discovery and exploration. This edition features curated programs by Arooj Aftab, Bo Ningen, Crystallmess, DARKSIDE, Mabe Fratti and Touching Bass.
Arooj Aftab's program includes a.o. aja monet, Dina El Wedidi, and Meshell Ndegeocello. Bo Ningen will welcome GAISTER, Still House Plants, The Messthetics & James Brandon Lewis, and more, whilst Crystallmess has curated acts such as Kim Gordon; HiTech; RP Boo, and Blackhaine.
DARKSIDE's program will feature Wadada Leo Smith and Eucademix (a.k.a. Yuka C. Honda), Mabe Fratti curates a lineup with Blanco Teta and Los Gaiteros de San Jacinto, and more, and Touching Bass welcomes Alex Rita with Rohan Ayinde, Astrønne, and Lionmilk.
The general programme features the likes of Alex Zhang Hungtai; Luzmila Carpio; Asher Gamedze with Another Time Ensemble; Demdike Stare; Discovery Zone; Tropical Fuck Storm; Theo Parrish; HYPER GAL; and Shabjdeed & Al Nather.
