Arlo Parks delivers new cut "Impurities"
Arlo Parks has released "Impurities", the second single to be lifted from her forthcoming album My Soft Machine.
"Impurities" is Arlo Parks' first outing since January's lead single "Weightless", and is teamed with a video directed by Jak Payne.
She says of the song, which she created in collaboration with BROCKHAMPTON's Romil Hemnani and Carter Lang (SZA), "It's about being around people who make you feel like your inner ugliness and failures and mistakes don’t matter, who lift you up and make you laugh, who make you feel good and clean."
My Soft Machine will follow her 2021 Mercury Prize-winning debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams, and will feature a collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers.
"Impurities" is out now. Arlo Parks' My Soft Machine album will be released 26 May through Transgressive Records, and is available to pre-order now.
