
Ariana Grande teases new music: "See you next year"
Over the course of December, Ariana Grande has been teasing fans about forthcoming music, and appears to have confirmed that she will be releasing it next year.
Grande has hinted at new music on the 7, 17, and 27 December. Fans are waiting for the follow-up to her sixth studio album, Positions, which was released in 2020, and it now appears that album number seven will arrive next year. She has spent the past few years focusing on her role in the forthcoming Wicked live adaptation and her r.e.m. beauty business.
Alongside an Instagram post in which Grande shares a photograph of producer Ilya Salmanzadeh – who she has previously worked with on "Bad Idea", "breathin" and "Santa Tell Me – as well as a video where someone says that it is "almost the last day of the album, Grande sent out packages to her fans which contained a red lipstick from r.e.m. beauty, as well as a note that read: "See you next year".
Ariana Grande is yet to confirm an official release date for her seventh studio album.
