Emily Eavis has shared the first Glastonbury 2023 line-up poster, which includes new headliners Arctic Monkeys and Guns N' Roses, as well as Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Phoenix and many more.

After announcing Elton John as the first headliner for this year's Glastonbury Festival in December 2022, Emily Eavis has unveiled the first poster for the festival, which confirms Arctic Monkeys as the Friday headliner, and Guns N' Roses - who accidentally confirmed their Glastonbury appearance in January on a SiriusXM radio show - as the Saturday headliner.

Other acts confirmed on the first 2023 line-up poster include Lizzo, Lana Del Rey, Phoenix, Blondie, Rina Sawayama, Lil Nas X, Christine and the Queens, Carly Rae Jepsen, Fred againn.. Mahalia, Ezra Collective, Central Cee, Aitch, Chvrches, RAYE, Shygirl, Lewis Capaldi, Joey Bada$$, Hot Chip, Fever Ray, Kelis, Slowthai, Sparks, Texas, Young Fathers, The War On Drugs, Weyes Blood and many more.

The Guardian reports that Emily Eavis booked Guns N' Roses as a headliner when a female artist - who she didn't name - "changed her touring plans".

Eavis also spoke about the gender split for this year's line-up, saying they are "entirely focused on balancing our bill. It’s not just about gender, it’s about every aspect of diversity."

She also said the music industry needs to back more female artists in order to create future headliners, and said of the male-dominated headliners for this year, "We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed. This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board."

Eavis also stated that they want two female acts to headline Glastonbury Festival in 2024, and one of them is already confirmed.

Glastonbury 2023 takes place from 21-25 June at Worthy Farm. Visit glastonburyfestivals.co.uk for more information.
