Anna Calvi, Marcus Mumford and more to play Turkey and Syria fundraiser show at Royal Albert Hall
London’s Royal Albert Hall will host a one-off show next month to raise money for those affected by the Turkey and Syria earthquakes, and it'll feature performances from Anna Calvi, Marcus Mumford and more.
The April fundraising event, organised by Communion Music and Sounds of Solidarity, will see all proceeds from ticket sales going to War Child and the Turkey Mozaik Foundation’s response to the Turkey and Syria earthquakes, and the event will feature performances from Anna Calvi, Marcus Mumford, Nilüfer Yanya, Dermot Kennedy, James Bay and Hozier.
Olivia Colman, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and comedian Omid Djalili will also appear at the event, which will be hosted by Jumoké Fashola and Halit Ergenç. The event will also feature an exclusive performance by the Solidarity Ensemble, formed of Turkish, Kurdish and Alevi musicians from Turkey and Syria.
Following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria, we're hosting a charity fundraiser on 15 April in aid of War Child and the Turkey Mozaik Foundation.

Mumford says, "I’ve been a Global Ambassador for War Child UK since 2014 and in that time I’ve been privileged to see their vital work in Central African Republic, Iraq, Gaza and Jordan. But now, more than ever, they need our support to help provide safety, education and psycho-social support for children in conflict zones and I’m deeply honoured to be standing alongside these brilliant artists to amplify their incredible work."
The fundraiser show takes place at Royal Albert Hall on 15 April. Tickets go on sale from 10am this Friday, 17 March via royalalberthall.com.
