Anna Calvi and Jake Shears to take part in Southbank Centre's 50th anniversary celebrations for David Bowie's Aladdin Sane
Southbank Centre has announced some events celebrating 50 years of David Bowie's Aladdin Sane album, including a live performance featuring Anna Calvi, Jake Shears and more.
Earlier today (27 February) London's Southbank Centre announced a series of events celebrating five decades of Bowie's Aladdin Sane album, described as an "exhibition exploring the creation of its unmistakable cover artwork and a series of live events."
As well as featuring the main exhibition, a poetry event and a talk with Chris Duffy (the son of Brian Duffy who shot the album cover), there's also a night of live music, where the likes of Anna Calvi, Jake Shears, Lynks and Roxanne Tataei will join the Nu Civilisation Orchestra in reimagining Bowie's 1973 album.
