Andrew VanWyngarden gives update on new MGMT music, says the "drought ends this year"
MGMT's Andrew VanWyngarden has provided an update on their new music, revealing that they've "been busy" and the "drought ends this year".
Although MGMT haven't released new music since 2020's "As You Move Through The World", Andrew VanWyngarden has collaborated with Cola Boyy, as well a remixing songs by Soccer Mommy, Club Intl and more, but according to a Reddit comment from VanWyngarden, new MGMT music is in the works.
On the MGMT subreddit, one fan predicted that their fifth album will be titled Future Ventricals, and VanWyngarden responded, "We have a working title! There are irons in the fire and we have been busy. I had forgotten my login info, the mgmt drought ends this year."
MGMT's fourth album Little Dark Age arrived in 2018.
Andrew VanWyngarden's latest release was last year's appearance on Cola Boyy's "Kid Born in Space".
