anaiis announces deluxe edition of this is no longer a dream
French-Senegalese artist anaiis has unveiled plans for a deluxe edition of her critically-acclaimed 2021 album, this is no longer a dream.
The deluxe album features a stellar lineup of collaborations reimagining the original album, showcasing anaiis' evolution as an artist.
On the latest track "juno", anaiis called up two very close friends Eun and Years & Years to reinterpret it in their own unique style, with Olly of Years & Years adding: "I'm so excited this is out in the world! this is no longer a dream by anaiis is one of my favourite albums. I've listened to it on repeat many times so I was extremely honoured when she asked me if I'd like to rework "juno" with her. I love this beautiful song and I'm so happy we could collaborate on this new version".
Building anticipation for the release, anaiis has already dropped remixes of tracks from the deluxe edition, including "vanishing" (Jamilah Barry remix) and "transcending" (remix by Karen Nyame KG). The remaining tracks include collaborations with DJ Lulo for "cry in your sleep" feat Chronixx, and the brand new track "OPENHEARTED".
In crafting the deluxe edition, anaiis prioritized collaborations with artists she admires, ensuring authenticity and a genuine connection. Each remixer and featured artist shares a close relationship with anaiis, showing a deep trust in their ability to contribute to this significant body of work. Reflecting on her artistic journey, anaiis expresses, "I am a lot more confident now, having grown significantly since the release of the original album. This deluxe edition is a celebration of the journey I have been on as an artist. It's a more playful, experimental, evolutive version of the record."
