Amber Arcades previews new album with third single "True Love"
Amber Arcades has shared a third single from her Barefoot On Diamond Road album titled "True Love".
"True Love" is Amber Arcades' first release of 2023, and will appear on Barefoot On Diamond Road with last year's "Odd to Even" and "Just Like Me" singles.
She says of the track, "The song is loosely about a weekend trip I took with my partner when we had been dating for a couple of months. That weekend everything just clicked for me and I think I fully realised then that I wanted to go for this person. That realisation is so wonderful and scary at the same time! We put so much pressure on ourselves with regards to romantic love and all our wants and needs that we want it to fulfil. I also strongly realised that weekend though that the things I value in a relationship have changed through the years, what's important is more clear and things are simpler now in that way."
Barefoot On Diamond Road was conceived remotely with Ben Greenberg (Danny Elfman, Depeche, Ryley Walker) in New York while Annelotte de Graaf was in Amsterdam, and features drums and percussion arrangements by Matt Chamberlain (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Adele, Lorde).
"True Love" is out now. Amber Arcades will release Barefoot On Diamond Road on 10 February via Fire Records, and is available to pre-order now.
