Alvvays share new song "After The Earthquake"
Ahead of their third album Blue Rev arriving this Friday (7 October), Alvvays have shared a final preview of the record titled "After The Earthquake".
"After The Earthquake" is the fifth track to be lifted from Blue Rev, following earlier outings "Belinda Says", "Very Online Guy", "Easy On Your Own?" and "Pharmacist".
The song is inspired by Haruki Murakami's After the Quake, and is described by the band as "a rapid fire recital of drive-thru breakdown, tectonic breakup and boyfriend in a coma brake failure."
Blue Rev will follow Alvvays' 2017 second album Antisocialites, which was nominated for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize. The new album was recorded in an LA studio with Shawn Everett (The War on Drugs, Kacey Musgraves).
"After The Earthquake" is out now. Alvvays will release their Blue Rev album on Friday (7 October) via Transgressive, and it's available to pre-order now.
