Alice Boman unveils reimagined version of her debut single, "Waiting (II)"
Swedish singer-songwriter Alice Boman has shared "Waiting (II)" – a new version of her debut single, which was released 11 years ago.
With the original version appearing on Boman’s 2013, debut EP, Skisser, the track has featured in a number of film and TV series, including Transparent, Glue, Bloodline, The Mist, Good Girls, and most recently the current number one Netflix original Baby Reindeer.
This new rendition is elevated by Norwegian musician and composer Daniel Herskedal, and pays homage to its pre-successor, with the artwork taken from the same photo used for her debut EP.
“Writing is still a way for me to understand myself,” Boman explains. “As an overthinker, there’s this constant motion in my head, so it helps to sit down and write about it to actually understand what I feel or think. Or just to find stillness.”
These mini epiphanies can be found on her latest album, The Space Between, which finds Boman ruminating on intimacy and existential angst.
"Waiting II" is out now.
