Alfa Mist releases new single "Apho" featuring Bongeziwe Mabandla
East London musician, rapper and producer Alfa Mist shares "Apho", the fourth single from his upcoming album Variables, which is a collaboration with Bongeziwe Mabandla.
"Apho", the fourth single from Alfa Mist's fifth studio album, has been released today alongside a music video by Australian videographer SPOD. The visuals are inspired by Alfa Mist's album artwork for Variables, which was created by his bass player Kaya Thomas Dyke.
With vocals coming from South African folk singer, Bongeziwe Mabandla, "Apho" is the second and final song with a collaborator to be released from the album – the first being "Aged Eyes" featuring vocals from the aforementioned bassist Dyke.
Variables is Alfa Mist's second release with ANTI, and is filled with improvisation. Of the album, which will follow 2021's Bring Backs, he says: "I’ve been focused on who I am in my music, but now I’m exploring where I am. I’m asking: how did I get here?”
"Apho" is out now. Alfa Mist's album Variables will be released on 21 April via ANTI and is available to pre-save now. He'll play London's HERE at Outernet on 22 November. Visit alfamist.co.uk for tickets.
