Alaska Reid shares another taste of new album with "She Wonders"
Alaska Reid reveals the second single from her debut album Disenchanter.
Produced and mixed by A. G. Cook, “She Wonders” finds Reid recalling hazy memories of bygone tours.
“Personalities of touring artists are like nesting dolls. People reveal different elements of themselves to fans, the touring group, the rest of the band, and so on,” says Reid. "I grew up playing a shit-ton of dive bars, just me and my guitar. I wanted the song to reflect how psychologically exhausting it is, treating the chorus like an inner monologue cornered by how lonely and uncool live indie music can feel.”
"She Wonders" comes off the back of Disenchanter's lead single "Back To This" which was released last month. The forthcoming debut album was written whilst Reid was on tour, opening for the likes of Porches, Charli XCX, Magdalena Bay, Maya Hawke, and Caroline Polachek.
Alongside the new single, Reid announces a London headline show at Moth Club on 18 September.
Disenchanter will arrive via Luminelle Recordings on 14 July, and is available to pre-order now. Tickets for the Moth Club headline show are on sale Friday 21 April via alaskareid.com.
