Alabama Shakes play their first show in over seven years
On Wednesday night, Alabama Shakes performed for the first time in over seven years at a surprise reunion show in Alabama.
Their reunion was part of the Tuscaloosa Get Up 3 benefit show at the Bama Theatre. Originally billed as a solo appearance from Brittany Howard, she then surprised attendees by bringing the rest of Alabama Shakes on stage after performing "Short And Sweet". “Thank you so much, everybody. I’ll be right back, I forgot my electric guitar,” She said after playing the track. As she came back on stage, the band joined her.
During the surprise set, the band performed songs such as "Hold On", "Gimme All Your Love", "Shoegaze", and "Be Mine".
