Aitch to skydive for World Down Syndrome Day in March
BRITs winner Aitch, who is a Down’s Syndrome Association ambassador, will be taking part in the World Down Syndrome Day skydive next month.
2023 Best Hip-Hop/Grime/Rap Act BRIT winner Aitch will be taking part in a skydive next month, alongside his dad, in support of World Down Syndrome Day to raise awareness for the condition. The skydive will take place on 25 March, just four days after World Down Syndrome Day.
He's been a Down’s Syndrome Association ambassador since October last year, and supported the charity with a generous donation from the budget of his music video for his track "My G" featuring Ed Sheeran. The song is dedicated to his younger sister Gracie, aka G, who has Down’s syndrome.
Aitch said, "I'm buzzing to jump out of a plane for World Down Syndrome Day next month! My Dad will be doing it with me, raising awareness for a cause that’s close to me and my family."
Carol Boys, Chief Executive of the DSA, added, "Aitch has done a fantastic job of raising awareness and understanding of Down’s syndrome among his fans and followers. To actually jump out of a plane to raise money to help us continue our vital work is just amazing."
