Aitch responds to album cover being painted over Ian Curtis mural in Manchester
Aitch has responded to posts showing his album artwork being painted over a mural for Joy Division's Ian Curtis in Manchester, saying he's "getting this fixed pronto".
This Friday (19 August) Aitch will release his debut album Close To Home, and yesterday on socials some Manchester residents pointed out to Aitch that his album artwork was being painted over a mural on Port Street, Manchester for Joy Division's Ian Curtis.
Responding to a tweet with an image of the mural being painted over, Aitch wrote, "I don't just choose locations for billboards, this is the first time I’ve seen it myself. Getting fixed as we speak."

Aitch then shared a statement about the incident, writing, "It’s come to light that the iconic Ian Curtis mural on Port Street has been painted over with my album artwork. This is the first time I’ve heard of this, me and my team are getting this fixed pronto. No way on earth would I want to disrespect a local hero like Ian."
