Adele on Céline Dion attending her Vegas residency: "Words will never sum up what you mean to me"
A clip recently went viral of Adele and Céline Dion sharing a tearful embrace during a show as part of her Las Vegas residency.
The clip shows Adele walking through the crowd whilst performing "When We Were Young". She then spots Céline Dion, and bursts into tears as they share an embrace. After the video went viral online, Adele shared a post via her Instagram account, sharing what the experience meant for her.
"I have been performing in Celine Dion’s room at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now. 4 weeks to go! It was the only venue I wanted to play in Vegas because it was built for her," Adele shared. "I have a picture of her right next to the stage that I touch every night before I walk on and she came to the show this weekend and it was a surprise and it was a MOMENT!!"
"Words will never sum up what you mean to me, or what you coming to my show means, let alone how it felt seeing you back in your palace with your beautiful family," Adele continued. "I have loved being there it has been such an honor and Saturday night will be something I remember forever and ever. Such a full circle moment for me to be there with you."
Adele's residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will come to an end on 23 November, and she will then take an extended amount of time off. “It has been amazing, I just need a rest. I have spent the last six, seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now," she told a crowd on the final stop of her Munich residency.
