Ableton launches new iOS app Note that allows users to create song sketches on the go
Ableton has released its new iOS app Note, which allows users to form musical ideas on the go by making beats, melodies and creating samples.
Ableton Note isn't the mobile version of Live, but it does allow users to create musical sketches away from the desk, and then export it to Ableton Cloud and continue working on the song in Live.
Note is described as the "place to start ideas, experiment with sounds and find direction," and allows users to create beats and melodies, as well as being able to sample the environment around them.
The app site reveals that Note "uses instruments and devices from Ableton Live. Play synth lines with melodic presets, finger-drum beats using Drum Sampler kits, and create instrumental melodies with Melodic Sampler instruments. Use Reverb, Delay and Chorus-Ensemble to give your sounds space and depth, or play with color and texture using Saturator, Redux and Phaser-Flanger."
Ableton Note is available to download from the Apple app store now.
