Aaron Paul and Eiza González confirmed for Flying Lotus' sci-fi thriller film Ash
It's been revealed that Aaron Paul and Eiza González will replace Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tessa Thompson in Flying Lotus' forthcoming sci-fi thriller Ash.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tessa Thompson were announced for Ash in August last year, but according to Deadline, Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Eiza González (Baby Driver) have been announced as their replacements.
Flying Lotus will direct and score the sci-fi thriller, marking his second feature film after 2017's Kuso. Production is expected to start from May in New Zealand.
Speaking about the film and getting Paul and González on board, Flying Lotus said, "We are building something fresh and unique with Ash and having Eiza and Aaron in this world just makes it flames. They are absolute magic makers, brave and equally inspiring. All that to say… We ‘bout to kill this shit."
Ash will see González play a space station worker that wakes up on a distant planet to find her colleagues killed, and Paul gets sent to rescue her.
In October 2022 Flying Lotus released Flying Lotus Presents: Music From The Hit Game Show Ozzy’s Dungeon, a seven-song soundtrack featured in his self-directed segment of the V/H/S/99 film.
