A posthumous Mark Lanegan release is in the works
Back in 2022, Mark Lanegan died aged 57 at his home in Killarney, Ireland. Now, two years later, there seems to be a posthumous release in the works.
Before his passing, the former Screaming Trees singer and Queens of the Stone Age member released his memoir Devil In a Coma, which saw him write about illness and remorse after being admitted to Kerry Hospital in March 2021 after getting COVID. His last album was 2020's Straight Songs of Sorrow.
A post on his social media accounts appears to tease a posthumous release as they posted pictures of Abbey Road studios, with the caption: “We appreciate your kind & loving words over the last 2 years. There is lots of news to share with you very soon.”
