Two Another “Jump” into the unknown on their reflective new single
Two Another excel together on their infectious new single “Jump”, a positive affirmation for overcoming turbulence.
Since 2016, Two Another have been steadily rising with their atmospheric melodies and pop-infused R&B. Having bonded over their adoration for music at a young age as schoolmates in Sydney, Australia, Angus Campbell and Eliot Porter - now based between Stockholm and Amsterdam - document a story of personal growth and friendship in the musical narrative of Two Another.
On “Jump”, the pair reflect on life milestones with a glossy sheen. Sunshine looms over the record with a sound that is comparable to their funk-edged contemporaries Jungle, LEISURE, and Franc Moody. Though, Two Another weave in a wider social message in their idiosyncratic productions that makes them simultaneously emotive and groove worthy.
Euphoric in its lyricism, “Jump” encourages listeners to take a leap of faith when faced with hardship. The rippling bassline brings a depth to their typically airy sound, whilst emotional honestly is played out in their velvety vocals.
Speaking on the “Jump”, Campbell and Porter explain “We made Jump at a turbulent time in both our lives, but what came out of this adversity reinvigorated our friendship and creative partnership. Lyrically and sonically, it sets the tone for what you will hear from us over the coming months.”
