Anonymous UK collective The Hour drop second atmospheric release “Answer”
The Hour’s “Answer” leaves us with many questions. Who are you, mysterious band, with your enigmatic sound, masked figures and monochrome visuals? Well, two singles in and we still don’t know.
“Answer” is a production-heavy, ominous alt-pop song that continues to draw us into The Hour’s dark and intriguing musical underworld.
As with their last release, “Wasted”, it’s one thing listening to the song, and it’s entirely another watching the accompanying visuals. Directed again by Ben Strebel, the video features masked figures in a hospital ward, and much like their last, it makes you feel kind of weird and uncomfortable.
Speaking of the video, The Hour said, "This video is about choice or lack of it. It’s about contrasting opinions in the decisions we make for our children, the lasting effect it might have on them and how being a parent it’s so easy to innocently pass things on to them.”
We’re excited (and a little bit scared) to see what happens next.
