Tame Impala captivate with "'Cause I'm A Man" in the build up to new album release, Currents
Clearly not ones to rest, Tame Impala shared their brand new single before it even reached 10am on Easter morning - and what a gift it is.
Deliciously smooth, "'Cause I'm A Man" is the best surprise of the season - no matter how much chocolate you were given. Kevin Parker's distinctive voice soars alongside probably the most addictive guitar groove you'll hear this side of the holiday. It's entirely entralling, but what else would you expect from the band that gave us Lonerism? "Don't always think before I do" the chorus echoes. Premeditated or not, Tame Impala have tapped into the recipe of keeping us captivated.
Slower and steadier than the previously unveiled "Let It Happen," "'Cause I'm A Man" is the band at their best. The track's meandering percussion and swaying refrains are as sturdy as they come: an unfailing constant alongside Parker's unwavering vocals. There's nothing overly complicated here; the track is void of complications and distractions, and is the very definition of alluring.
