Toronto-based brothers SWANES deliver sideline sleekness on supple new track "A-Game"
SWANES fuse intimate R&B with sleek electronica on winsome new track "A-Game".
SWANES, made up of London-born brothers Michael and Stefan Bildy, merge hypnotising synths with their dreamy vocals on serene new offering, "A-Game".
Built on an intricate, charged beat, "A-Game" is a meandering track that finds its strength through intimate melodies and hazy vocals that echo majestically against the starry-eyed synths.
The lyrics weave between basketball players with ease, encapsulating the positive messages an athlete must tell themselves when training for a big tournament.
Speaking about the track further, Mike Bildy explains, “The original idea behind "A-Game" was inspired by the NBA playoffs. In the playoffs, players often have to push past their mental and physical limits. I admire the sheer perseverance of it all and the ability to transcend to a higher state.”
Stefan Bildy adds, "I love music you can drive to. So with the production, I wanted to evoke the feeling you get on long road trips. To me, there’s something about being immersed in a kinetic listening space that gives you this feeling of forward motion and freedom of mobility.”
