Stockholm's Steve Buscemi’s Dreamy Eyes soar with shimmering dream-pop on “Moon”
Steve Buscemi’s Dreamy Eyes have returned to the scene after a hiatus, with glimmering new single “Moon”.
It's three years after their first single, and we still can’t figure out if Stockholm four-piece Steve Buscemi’s Dreamy Eyes’ name is helping or hindering their career. Once you get past that, shall we say, polarising title, they’re an easy band to like.
If their recent comeback single “Change Of Heart” was about reminding people about what they liked about the band post-hiatus, then “Moon” is something bigger. Between its chugging basslines and flickers of guitar, it leans a little more towards soaring alt-rock than their earlier indie pop, but makes sure to pack in a joyous yelp of a chorus that swoops straight into the part of your brain that’ll never forget it.
“'Moon' is a song about new beginnings,” say the band. “For us, that beginning was getting back together in the rehearsal space after a six month hiatus to write new material. Furthermore, it's a song about rekindling the spark in the things you are passionate about, but also a celebration of our relationship as a band, the things we've been through, and the things we look forward to continue experiencing together”.
