Dreamend is a changing cast of musicians, revolving around the central character of Ryan Graveface. The head honcho of Chicago label Graceface Records and also member of the psych-shoegaze collective known as Black Moth Super Rainbow.
‘Mangesium Light’ is taken from the forthcoming album So I Ate Myself, Bite By Bite, which was recorded with the help of members of The Appleseed Cast and curated by fellow Black Moth guru Tobacco. So, the question you’re asking yourself now is, what the hell does this SOUND like?
Well… not what you might imagine actually…
‘Magnesium Light’ revolves around a central banjo riff, a dreamy haze of vocals float around it, the shuffling drums barely keeping it together, lazily entwining with the other instruments. It feels like you’re lying in a field, the sun baking your face and you don’t have a care in the world. The ending refrain of “I love the sun” seems oddly apt as we cruise through British Summertime. It’s wonderful.
