SEB harnesses carefree summer evenings on “seaside_demo”
LA-based SEB covets the soothing effects of summer sunsets on his new slack pop track “seaside_demo”.
Inspired by amber-hued evenings, “seaside_demo” is bona fide lo-fi bedroom pop, having been written, produced and engineered by SEB.
It’s a ballad to coastal drives and the remedying calmness of a sunset, with its wondrously idealistic mood reflecting the comfort of its namesake. “One of the main things that helped me, when I first started to experience major anxiety, was looking forward to catching the sunsets,” explains SEB. “I remember how madly in love and comforted I was with all the colors and so I knew that’s how I wanted my music to sound.”
SEB decided to release the sun-soaked track in its demo form after it gained traction when he posted a mash-up with Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar” on TikTok.
“I literally want people to hear me and all my flaws,” SEB explains, “for better or for worse, I want to bring them to my special place in hopes they find some comfort there too.”
