There are few things better than seeing good people do well. So it is with a good deal of pride that we can finally say that Seams, one of Best Fit’s most favourite artists, has signed with Full Time Hobby.
Seams introduced himself more than two years ago with the freewheeling, strung out ‘Nightcycles’. His output has become ever more focused since that first release, culminating in the excellent, Holden-indebted ‘Focus Energy’ – a track which remains amongst the most dangerous weapons in our (admittedly modest) DJ arsenal.
‘Potential’ sees that focus become ever tighter. It is as immediate a track as Seams has yet released, with roughly hewn vocal samples immediately bringing to mind Lone’s fuzz-drenched psychedelia. Needless to say, we are excited to see what comes next.
Seams plays London’s Shacklewell Arms tomorrow night, and The Great Escape on Saturday.
