Sea Moya demonstrate topsy-turvy brilliance with "Twins" [Premiere]
Unleashing their new Twins EP next month, Sea Moya are premiering the title track from the release.
Unadulterated off-kilter brilliance, Sea Moya create topsy-turvy psychedelia that leaves the listener lost in the best possible way. "Twins" is a further venture into their delightfully disorientating world. Smooth vocals and stuttering synths collide with eerie echoes and ambient frills. Choppy and addictive, this is a band who don't play by any rule book but their own.
"With Twins we had a whole lot of fun from the very beginning," Sea Moya say of the track. "A light and frisky vibe runs through the whole song, especially the last part of it. We were putting all kind of different sounds, beats and noises along with these spacey synth chords, which finally get into this rhythmic organ-like sound. We didn’t think much about how we’d like the song to be, it just evolved in a very natural and rash way."
"Lyrically, its actually about personal relationships of special kinds - like Twins probably have," they continue. "So although the lyrics might add a serious note to it, the theme is to always check brighter alternatives and feel the ease.”
Twins is released on 2 October via Heist Or Hit.
