Listen: Schultz & Forever - "P.O.V." (Stripped) [Premiere]
Danish balladeer Jonathan Schultz aka Schultz & Forever celebrates the release of his new Broadcast Dynamics EP with a brilliant version of "P.O.V."
Sounding like it's been dunked underwater, this stripped-back spin on a track that got blogs in a frenzy this year is oddly more charming than its lo-fi psych counterpart. Raindrop rhythms and lovingly languid guitars splash about Schultz's gloopy falsetto, all the components suspended in a splendid shuffle-pop haze.
"P.O.V." has an undeniably timeless quality to it with its simplistic acoustic chords and chiming harmonies. We'll certainly been giving it repeated spins for more of those to come.
