Listen: Ronika - "Wiyoo" (Jupiter remix) [Premiere]
Ronika, a London/Nottingham-based singer and producer who has been fully engaged with her music creation and in-between releasing a throng of mix tapes and EPs, is now set to release her debut album, Selectadisc. Best Fit is delighted to premiere her track, “Wiyoo”, remixed by French-English duo, Jupiter.
The track is heavily influenced by Jupiter’s electro-funk/disco vibes, which recreate the flash and gaudiness of 80s pop with playful synths, thumping processed beats and an irresistibly exuberant bass line. Ronika’s cvocals fit perfectly into the whole retro experience and could easily be sung by 80s queens such as The Pointer Sisters or Mary Jane Girls.
Selectadisc is out on 2 June.
