Two for the price of one today. This is actually a split single, comprising tracks from Ambi:Non and Buffalo Tide, released under the name BLBX.
BLBX is a collective of producers, five-strong, each of whom release music individually and together. The group specialises in a particularly percussive form of electronica. While Ambi:Non‘s ‘Trondheim’ is all stuttering, swung snares and granular-sounding pads, Buffalo Tide‘s ‘Geneva’ is kick-heavy minimal tech that brings to mind Brian Sanhaji. Together the two tracks form a lovely little diptych of expertly produced, melodically interesting, propulsive electronic music. Highly recommended.
‘Cities (Episode One)’ is out 25 July. You can find ore details on their Facebook.
