Pizzagirl’s “ball’s gonna keep on rollin’” is a fierce '80s synth-pop dream
Narrating a cliché journey of the rise and fall of a showbiz wannabe, “ball’s gonna keep on rollin’” is the second single from Liverpool-based pop prodigy Pizzagirl's upcoming debut album first timer.
Opening with a punchy beat paired with an instantly infectious synth hook, Pizzagirl's new track is the perfect reimagination of an '80s hit single. Hearty backing vocals and jubilant trumpets ensure an undisputed high.
Filled with rampant synths and gruff vocals, “ball’s gonna keep on rollin’” is anything but monochromatic. The originality in each Pizzagirl track, combined with the sophisticated instrumental development is what sets the bedroom-pop artist far ahead of his peers.
"The second flavour you can taste of my debut pop monster album first timer lives in the smoggy subways of NYC 1973!” Pizzagirl explains.
“It’s a Twilight Zone type tale of hunting for the big 'success', whatever that may be. Anyways, just remember that if the grind is getting you down, that ball's gonna keep on rollin'."
