Australia's Parcels air funk-pop ditty "Anotherclock" that begs to be played on repeat
Comprised of members from old metal bands and folk ensembles, Australian band Parcels have a whole host of influences from which to build their identity. Funk-pop may not be the obvious answer but the Kitsuné-signed Byron Bay via Berlin quintet execute it with flair - no less than on their latest track "Anotherclock".
Steered by circling muted guitars and bopping bass, soulful vocals unite at the song's rhyme-heavy chorus; a chorus that promises to rattle round the brain as much as its instrumental counterparts.
There isn't much progression on the track save for the trickling in of dainty piano and blissful ooh-ahs, but that's the point. "Anotherclock" wants you to revel in its cyclical beauty, and revel we will.
