OUTLYA air anthemic Weezer and Taylor Swift-influenced track "Heaven"
Indie-pop trio OUTLYA are sharing their shimmering new track "Heaven" ahead of a packed few months of festivalling.
"Heaven" is produced with Dan Grech-Marguerat (The Vaccines, Radiohead) and follows mighty jams "Higher" and "The Light".
The track features OUTLYA, as usual, gunning for the stratosphere - thundering guitars, infinity-bound solos, and vocals that scrape the moon all meet for an uplifting nugget of golden noise.
"'Heaven' is a love song in many ways. A love song with a big fat guitar solo in it," say OUTLYA. "Like many of our songs, it's about escape. More specifically, the kind of escape you experience in the company of the one you love. 'Heaven' wrote itself pretty quickly. We were listening to a lot of Weezer and Taylor Swift at the time and wanted something with big power chords and fizzy synths. The power chords acted like a gateway drug that led us to want a few moreaudacious elements. One guitar solo and a lot of gospel choiring later, the song took shape."
