Oscuro recruits Mirror Signal for heady new single "Too Long"
Cambridgeshire producer Oscuro has teamed up with Mirror Signal for "Too Long", a heady melange of swirling melodies and downtempo charm.
"Too Long" is a supremely chill cut with fluid hooks and late-night radio charm - everything's a bit wonky, a bit distorted, and a bit muddled, but Mirror Signal's clarion vocals slice through the shadows. It's dark and murky, but it's refreshing as hell.
Speaking about the track, Oscuro says: "It was great to work with Steven, aka Mirror Signal, on this. It was as easy as breathing; I sent the backing track to Steven and he sent back some really well-recorded vocal stems which were a joy to work with. Once I had all the vocal parts back I tweaked the track and built it around Steven's voice, I also added some Foley sounds and SFX to compliment some of his lyrics. The musical ideas in this track were intended to evoke the lethargy you can feel when you are in a situation that has dragged on too long. For me, the subject matter in Steven's lyrics follows a similar theme."
New record All In My Mind is out in September. It'll follow last year's Can't Stop Now.
